July 2nd 2026

I’m using this more like a little digital journal these days. But this past week - going from June into July 2026, has been lots of fun. We’re getting into a really cute age with Sophie, she’s expressing herself a lot, she’s talking more than she has before, using all kinds of different words and phrases to tell us how she’s feeling, what she’s thinking and even make more detailed comments about her life and world around her. We made lots of ice cream this week, chocolate and Oreo flavored. Our next flavor to tackle is one of her teachers favorites of coffee flavor!! We’ll make that some time and bring it into her class. Her teachers have been enjoying the ice cream!!

We also got her new lovevery package this week, it’s always a hit when we get one of those in the mail. We practiced more time on the bike, and thankfully Joe and I have Friday off for the July 4th weekend! We also have most of next week off as well, thank goodness. It’ll be so much fun taking time off and being with her - Sophie also has all week next week off.

We’ve had beautiful sunsets, oddly rainy weather, temperatures more in the 20’s than what we’d expect but that’s a-okay. Fifa games are wrapping up here kinda (USA won so another game is scheduled here in Seattle!) and we’re excited to have time off to recover from all the things. Excited to see what we get up to these next few weeks!
