Things to do with a toddler in Seattle
Since having our little girl we’ve been very interested in all the toddler/kid friendly experiences in the city. Before we had our baby we had no idea what we could do with her out in public besides parks. Here is our list of some of the best places we visited with her since she’s been born, and the places we keep going back to for family friendly and toddler friendly activities!

We absolutely love the Seattle children’s museum located right by the Space Needle in lower Queen Anne. The museum opens around 10am, we are sure to be there right as they open because the place gets filled up pretty fast. There are separate spaces for different age groups, so many activities happening all the time, and you can get a membership which is very cost effective.
There are many children’s museums located all around Seattle, including another in Issaquah, Bellevue, and Everett.

The Woodland Park Zoo is our usual go-to activity on the weekends or in the evenings after school/work during the summers. Their hours shift between the summer and winter seasons, they are open later in the summers until 6pm. There is so much open space for kids to run inside the zoo, they have been developing it so much within the past few years so there’s always something new to see. There is even an indoor playground area (great for the winters), a food court in case you forgot snacks, and the zoo is so big you can’t see it all in one day.

The Swan Trail Farms is a great place to go for a weekend event, they usually have things going on each season and the space is very kid friendly. We first went to this farm in the fall when we went to pick up pumpkins and see the animals, they always have ducks, chickens, cows, horses, goats, donkeys, alpacas, and bunnies. They usually have fun rides as well - tractor rides, hay bale rides, playgrounds, and lots of slides. They also have a little space to purchase their produce and products made from their produce. It’s a really sweet place to visit. We just visited here on the weekend for their spring/summer baby animal and berry picking event (I’ll make a post about more details) and we had so much fun with baby kittens, chicks, puppies!

Early Saturday mornings we like taking Sophie to the Green Lake park where she plays, runs, and gets all her energy out - then we plop her into her stroller and Joe and I are off to do our Green Lake loop!
