Father's Day Weekend 2026
It’s always a perfect weekend when we have some plans but also down time. This weekend June 20-21st was beautiful - the weather was in the 70’s (or 25-30 range for Celsius) it was sunny, and we had some fun plans!
Saturday morning started off with a visit to Swan Trail Farms up in Snohomish, we had an awesome time at their baby animal and berry picking event! We got there right as the event opened and we saw the baby cows, goats, kittens, puppies, ducklings, chicks, and took a hay ride to the strawberry fields. We didn’t pick any berries this time (Sophie doesn’t eat fresh strawberries yet) but we had a great ride and a wonderful day at the farm. The event started at 9:30am and went until noon, we left around noon and once we got into the car Sophie fell right asleep. Once we got back home we had the whole afternoon to laze about, which is what we did. It was a beautiful sunset and evening in Seattle.

Sunday morning we woke up and took our run around Green Lake, when it’s early - around 8am, there aren’t too many people at the lake at that time. It’s really nice to go for a quick run, let Sophie run around too, and then head off. This weekend we had some errands to run, we went to Home Depot to look for wood chips (which they oddly didn’t have), then went to Home Goods to buy some towels, and then the grocery store to buy cake ingredients for our fathers day carrot cake. We spent the afternoon weeding the backyard and front yard and mostly doing yard work. Once we were done, we took a nice bike ride around Queen Anne, and played with some magna-tiles and other toys in the living room - all while the sun was shining through our windows. It was once again, a beautiful father’s day weekend. Happy Father’s day Joe - you are such a wonderful human and father, you show both of us so much patience and love all the time, thank you for being such a great father for Sophie to look up to and an amazing husband. We love you!
